    Pre-Arrival Checklist

    While it’s important to be prepared, you’ll find out more of what you need to know once you arrive! Read on for some preliminary information about microwaves, placing work orders, your mailing address, and more.

    Transportation

    You have many transportation options in LA: you can bring a car, rent one for the semester, or use one of the city’s public transportation systems.

    Moving In

    Housing assignments and move-in times will be emailed to students before arrival. ELA staff will be here to make sure checking in and moving in go smoothly.

    Weather and Clothing

    It’s no secret that Boston and Los Angeles have very different climates, so leave the heavy winter coat at home! Be sure to pack weather-appropriate—and internship-appropriate—attire.
